Disclosures
Current state (phase 1)
As of launch, HatchMath ships with no affiliate links and no display ads. The site is in phase 1 of its content plan, which is calculator-led trust building before any monetization activates.
Future affiliate relationships
Once equipment buying guides ship in phase 2, the following affiliate relationships may activate as contextual references inside sourced editorial:
- Chewy via the Impact affiliate network. Pays ~4% commission on qualifying purchases. Used for backyard-flock equipment (coop hardware, ventilation fittings, feeders, waterers, heat lamps, brooder supplies, test kits). Not used for live birds or hatching eggs.
- Amazon Associates. Pays 1β3% on pet / livestock / homestead category purchases. Used as a fallback when Chewy or Tractor Supply equivalents don't carry an item.
- Tractor Supply / Premier 1 Suppliesdirect programs (when available). Specialty backyard-poultry retailers with depth on coop hardware and brooder gear that Chewy and Amazon don't carry consistently.
Affiliate links, when they appear, will be marked as such in context. They never appear as the primary framing of a page, never as βbest ofβ listicles, and never on safety-critical surfaces (brooder heat, ventilation, biosecurity) where the editorial trust bar is highest.
Display advertising
Display ads (Google AdSense or equivalent) may appear on the site starting in phase 2. When they do, they will be:
- Placed at end-of-article, not inline-disrupting body copy.
- Not interstitial. Not popunder. Not autoplay video.
- Not used to sell sponsored content; ads are programmatic and independent of editorial.
Editorial independence
Affiliate or advertising relationships do not influence which products are mentioned, which sources are cited, or which recommendations are made. Sourced editorial decisions come first; monetization placements come after, only where they fit contextually.
